Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif on Thursday said that the operation against terrorism is not yet over, adding that there’s more work to do to achieve the final objective of peaceful and prosperous Pakistan, Dunya News reported. Addressing at Command and Staff College here, the Army Chief said that extremism and terrorism are an international problem, adding that Pakistan is determined to fight the war against militancy and terrorism.
He said they are not there yet as far as the final goals of the battle are concerned and that more work is yet to be done.
General Sharif said the Pakistan Army is now carrying out intelligence and combing operations after the practical operation. He said no army in the world is ever able face challenges as tactfully as Pakistan is doing.
He further said he is proud to have command of an active army like the Pakistan Army.
