Rnagers Raid In Diffferent Areas Of Karachi, Arms Recovered

Rangers conducted a raid on Friday night in Karachi’s area Landhi No.4 after getting information from those who were arrested earlier and recovered arms, reported Dunya News.

According to Rangers spokesperson, arms included LPG, 5 SMGs, Repeater and bullets. Rangers also conducted a raid in Gulshan Iqbal and recovered arms, which included Kalashenkovs and rounds of snipers, which were going to be used for target killing and to create chaos in the city.

The paramilitary force seized a huge cache of weapons during raids in Gulshan-e-Iqbal and Landhi on Friday.

The spokesman for the Sindh Rangers said paramilitary soldiers conducted an intelligence-raid on a godown in Gulshan-e-Iqbal and found weapons, including 8mm rifle, Kalashnikovs and sniper rifle’s bullets.

Acting on a tip-off obtained from a suspect in custody, the law enforcers raided a locality in Landhi No-4, and seized one light machinegun, five sub-machineguns, a repeater rifle and hundreds of bullets.

The spokesman criminals had buried the arms to create a law and order situation in Karachi.

The Rangers had advised the public to immediately contact them and provide them information regarding any such suspicious activity or the presence of such suspected persons or groups of people in their surroundings.

The paramilitary force has been carrying out a targeted operation to curb heinous crime in the city for the three years. The crackdown has resulted in the arrests of a large number of terrorists and other criminals, as well as in the seizure of huge quantities of arms and ammunition.

On August 18, Rangers personnel arrested two alleged terrorists and seized a huge quantity of weapons from their possession.

The Rangers spokesman said the alleged terrorists were arrested in Keamari Town and were affiliated to the militant wing of a political party.
