Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif has ordered special combing operations, asking intelligence agencies to go anywhere in the country to target anyone linked with these terror acts.
He was presiding over a security meeting of civil and military officers. “The blast is an attempt to undermine improved security in Balochistan, especially targeting CPEC. All resources will be employed to control situation,” he said.
The COAS said that terrorists were shifting focus to Balochistan after being defeated in KPK.
Earlier, the COAS visited Civil Hospital and inquired after the victims of the Quetta blast.
He also visited the Balochistan High Court and offered his condolences with Justice Muhammad Noor Meskanzai and panel of judges for all those who lost their lives.
According to the ISPR, serious patients have been shifted to CMH Quetta. Two seriously injured have been evacuated to Karachi, while 20 more being evacuated on military plane to various hospitals in different cities on required basis.
